Attention, Primal 2 enthusiasts! Get ready to refresh your footwear game with the all-new Primal 3. Designed with your feedback in mind, this latest iteration maintains many of the signature features of the Primal 2, such as a zero-drop platform and wide toe box, while also introducing exciting enhancements.

The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot. It has a wider heel and midfoot to distribute your weight more evenly. The Primal 3 still utilizes our signature IBR outsole for a lightweight, flexible feel!

With fit and feel in mind, we've listened to your feedback and made the Primal 3 available in half sizes across the board, because when it comes to comfort, we believe every inch counts!

Speaking of comfort, our new recycled PU insole takes things up a notch. At 4.5mm thick, its breathable materials ensures comfort in every step.

And fear not, loyal fans – while the Primal 3 boasts exciting new features, we've kept the upper consistent with the beloved Primal 2. That's right – the same unbeatable comfort you know and love, now with even more sizing options to ensure the perfect fit for every foot!

The Primal 3 fits TRUE TO SIZE, and you can order your normal UK size! The Primal 3 has a wide toe box and a removable insole, so for those some who prefer extra depth or better ground feel may consider removing the insole. This may cause faster wear inside the shoe so beware.

Brilliantly comfy.

Got these for my son post toe nail surgery. He loves them and wonders why he’s never had them before. Look so good I ordered myself a pair too. Great help on sizing when I asked. Many, many thanks x

My 3rd pair of Primals

These shoes are basically the most comfortable for my feet since I had my Plantar Fasciitis fixed.

P2 - Best fitting shoes I've ever had

Fit and comfort aside, these look nice, a reasonable compromise if you want minimal shoes which do not look out of place. They approximate the look of a skate shoe, and are made of a breathable upper.

In terms of durability it's too early to tell, however there's people online who have said their Primal 2s have lasted around 1400-1500 miles before a hole appears in the sole, which is very reasonable. If they hold up this long, it will sweeten the £120 cost somewhat.

On a final note, Lems have three different widths of shoe last (the footprint they craft the shoe from) - medium, wide, and widest. These are made from the widest last. However they have other trainers in other widths, the details of which you can find on the Lems website.

P1: Best fitting shoes I've ever had

These are my first minimal shoes, and I'm really happy with them. I've recently been diagnosed with patellofemoral (knee) pain, and I've read a few research studies which indicate that zero drop shoes may help reduce knee pain, since heeled shoes put greater pressure on knee joints.

I also have a wide midfoot, and it's only recently dawned on me that I've not ever had a pair of shoes which fit my correctly, up until now.

I've tried 2e and 4e wide fit shoes, but these only ever seem to have more width in the toe box, so they are usually swimming on me in the forefoot and still not wide enough on the midfoot.

These shoes are the first to fit me correctly on the midfoot, and as a result my foot isn't tipping out of the shoe on the medial (inward) side, like it has been on every other pair of shoes I've worn. I recently tried on over a dozen shoes trying to find a wide midfoot, including numerous running shoes, Xero, and Vivobarefoot, but these Lems are the only well fitting ones I've found for a wide midfoot. I'm reasonably certain that this previous lack of midfoot support has exaggerated my overpronation, and has likely contributed to my knee problems. A completely avoidable problem if most shoes weren't designed for the 'average' person.

It's a breath of fresh air to be able to move my toes around naturally in my shoes. After wearing these I'm not sure I'll be able to go back to 'normal' shoes. These are way more comfortable.
